Phil Newton, of Samsung, recently stated that a 10-inch Chrome OS netbook is on its way, later this year.
Hardware:
- 64GB of flash storage
- 12 hour battery life
- 3G
- Wi-Fi
- 2GB of RAM
- 1.5 GHz Snapdragon Processor
You’re probably thinking, these specs are awful for a computer. For a Windows netbook, yes they are, but for Chrome OS the specs will work fine. Chrome OS is for speed. It is an OS that runs in a browser that allows you to connect with the cloud. Since it is a browser the specs listed above, will be really fast, for a cheap price. Many people complain it doesn’t have a lot of the functionality like Windows or Macintosh does. Personally, I don’t think this OS is meant to be your main OS. It is meant for portability and speed on the go.
The Netbook is on its way next year.
