Google Docs Application

I have been exploring Google’s Apps this morning and found a really neat program.

If you haven’t heard of Google Docs it is an online word processor, presentation maker, and spreadsheet creator. It is all stored on Google’s cloud. Google Docs makes it easy to share documents with friends and colleagues. It does get pretty annoying doing it all in the browser, so they made a application. They also implemented a offline mode.

There is one problem with this application. When you click to compose or view a document, it loads it in your web browser, but you can upload documents and use the offline mode. If Google made the document editable in the application, the application would be fully complete, that is my only complaint.

If you have written a Word document in Microsoft word, and want to share it easily, you can upload it to Google Docs. Letting you edit the document, a lot easier.

The best part of Google Docs Application is the offline mode. If you are going on a plane trip you can download your files from the cloud. Once your on the plane you can type more to them or edit them. Once you have landed, and are back on wifi, the document will sync back to the cloud.

It makes it so easy to keep all of your documents synced, and lets you edit them easily. Google also lets you know if everything is up to sync, and if you are missing something.
