If Microsoft is ambitious with Project Natal (motion tracking camera to control games), I don’t know what can Emotiv be called. Their new product, the Epoc, reads your brain and tells the computer what are you thinking. It costs $299 and is shipping now. Read on for thoughts and a video about this product. I understand what it could do- like really use your head to levitate objects with the force in Star Wars games, but I certainly do not want games to start my mind.
Personally, I enjoy games because they force you to make though decisions. To shoot the civilians in Modern Warfare 2? To choose Revenge or Money in Grand Theft Auto 4? To choose your loyalties? To shoot a friend and a betrayer? I don’t want to make the choice mentally. I want to see if I can actually hold down the trigger.
Either way, here is a video on the Epoc.
