Today at CES (Consumer Electronics Show), Motorola held a pretty short press conference, but gave some good information.
Every Android device out will soon be getting a firmware update to Android 2.1. Android 2.1 will be what is on the Nexus One, and it looks pretty cool. The update will include Flash. Flash will work amazing on these phones, in my opinion.
There was talk about new Android phones released in China, he didn’t really go into detail.
The main feature of the event was the new Motorola “Backflip”. It features a fold out keyboard, just like the Droid. The phone features a touchpad on the back. It was encouraged that a developer code for this, but what could it be for? The phone has a 5 mega-pixel camera, WiFi, and 3G. The phone is coming first quarter. No carrier has been released.
It was a quick press conference, but the phone is looking cool. I am looking forward to it.
