The Melbourne-based platform – Creately, is finally out of beta. The folks behind the powerful yet easy-to-use online diagramming and design platform have come out with a unique pricing strategy. Dubbed as a “name you price” plan, they are offering Creately Plus! at any price users are willing to pay. However, of course, it has to be above a dollar (that’s Paypal minimum amount of money transfer). Insane right? This is the first time I have seen such a generous offer.
Creately was launched by Cinergix and was featured at Demofall 08 and TechCrunch 50 last year. Based on patent-pending technology specifically built for collaboration, it lets anyone create and collaborate on flow charts, wireframes, network diagrams and sitemaps in an intuitive interface. It offers a large library of objects and easy start templates. Working similarly to Google Docs, users can collaborate with their fellow teammates or clients with easy sharing, publishing and post-it style comments. Rest assured, you never lose your work, as there is a multi version support. I am sure most of you people will love Creately as the majority of its users (over 90% of people give us 4 or more stars) consider being the best online diagramming and designing tool on the Internet.
Currently, there are two plans offered by the team at Creately – Creately Public and Creately Plus! The free version does have have limitations but it will not stop the diagram dabber from creating beautiful looking diagrams. As for Creately Plus, it provides more comprehensive and useful features for heavy users and privacy concerned users. As I have mentioned above, this paid plan cost at any you are willing to pay. Be it $2 or $1000. Up to you!
However, the offer ends on 17th September 2009. According to a blog post, “This may be a fairly risky proposition and we know it might not work or be sustainable. So we are piloting this with our group of Beta users – right now this trial is time limited – so upgrade now while you can name your own price.”
