MyAddressBar Helps You Navigate the Web Easily And Quickly

Let’s say you want to check out some information on a particular website. Most likely you’d either type in the full URL into the address bar or make a search query on Google if you don’t know the website URL. This is when a web service called MyAddressBar comes in really handy. Dubbed as an app that “Takes me directly where I want to go”, it helps Internet users to navigate the web easily and help them in their struggle to get to the websites they are looking for.

Functioning similarly to Google’s trademark search feature “I’m Feeling Lucky” which aims to improve users’ search experience, MyAddressBar simply directs you to the website you’d want to visit by punching in the name of the website (for example techxav, CNN, Twitter Search, etc.) in the search bar provided.

The main idea of the website is to allow you to simply type the name of the site you want to go to and directly get there (no need to add .com’s, .net’s or figure out what is the exact web-address of the California Department of Taxation…). On top of that, it pays attention to the sites you’re surfing to and offers some nice big buttons to easily get back to the ones you frequently use. It has some other nice features (and future plans) that you can see in the site itself.

I’m pretty impressed by this app and I personally feel that it’s much more efficient and smarter than Google’s “I’m Feeling Lucky” feautre. The button you see in Google Search homepage takes users to the website of the first result in page and thus saving time.

However, MyAddressBar offers more accurate results. For example, when I type in “Xavier Lur” in Google, what I see in the top spot is my Twitter profile. On the other hand, for MyAddressBar, it’ll be my personal blog.
