Looking for a simple and quick way to arrange your favorite music videos on YouTube into playlists, play them anytime you want or share them with your friends? This is when TubeRadio.fm comes in handy. Dubbed as “iTunes meets YouTube meets Spotify”, TubeRadio.fm is a newly-launched London-based web application that helps music fans discover, organize and listen to music videos. With this web-based music video player, you can browse YouTube, add a playlist with your favorite band’s discography in mere seconds, sort your music videos, shuffle them, and even share those playlists with friends via an e-mail link, Twitter post, or Facebook profile update. Sounds impressive right?
From first glance, I actually thought TubeRadio.fm is yet another ‘copycat’ of Apple’s desktop music player iTunes as both have similar interface. However, after playing TubeRadio.fm for a while, I realize that it goes beyond just making a video playlist, offering some really cool and interesting features that make it worth checking out. One of the impressive and unique features TubeRadio.fm provides is its ‘Discography Search’. After searching for the band or artist you want, select the Discography tab and it will display a list of that artist’s albums. From here you can add an entire album to your playlist. Another impressive feature worth commenting about is the speed everything works, especially when the player downloads the selected albums into your playlist.
TubeRadio.fm also provides links for users to purchase the full album from either Amazon (physical CD) or 7Digital (MP3 downloads). Sharing your playlists is possible too. Simply create a profile and add friends.
Overall, it’s indeed a wonderful and unique creation, and I’m pretty sure music lovers will find TubeRadio.fm useful when it comes to finding great music.
