Basically, Twitlet is a bookmarklet that allows you to update your Twitter status with just a click of your mouse and of course typing in some text. No matter which page you’re on, be it Facebook, Blogger or YouTube and if you’ve something you would like to share with your friends on Twitter, you can click on that simple JavaScript bookmarklet and a prompt window will appear.
What makes this free bookmarklet is that you just need to provide your Twitter credentials for only one time and you need not to keep entering them for subsequent tweets unlike some other services. It evens comes with a short URL support which will shortened the currently browsed page’s URL automatically whenever you type in commands such as #link or #this.
