According to Henri Moissinac, director of Facebook Mobile, the world’s most popular social networking platform sees an astounding figure of 65 million mobile users in the last 30 days. That is more than the entire population of the United Kingdom. At Nokia World in Stuttgart, Germany, the folks at Facebook have revealed more about its user engagement, along with some statistics and numbers. It’s noted that 65 million or 25% of its strong 250 million population used the site from mobile devices in the month of August. It had grown 300% from 20 million users in December last year and the countries which have the most active users are the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Indonesia.

However, the number of percentage of users surfing Facebook on their respective mobile devices is not known. There could even be a possibility that the newly-release Facebook 3.0 for the iPhone might play a crucial role in boosting the number of mobile users. On Wednesday, Nokia announced a partnership with Facebook and launched several handsets at its annual conference. The new Ovi-related service, called “lifecasting,” would allow users to publish their location and status updates directly to their Facebook account from the home screen of their phone.

Henri Moissinac even said on his Twitter profile that Facebook Connect for mobile web will be launched today.
