Gmail Ads to get Better: Is this releasing privacy?

Gmail is honestly the best email service out there. The reason I use Gmail is because it works so well with Android, I just have to use it. Its web application is also the best. It integrates so well with Google products.

If you haven’t noticed yet, Google puts small ads on the top of your emails, usually similar to your email. Today on Google’s blog they say that the ads aren’t usually relevant, or can’t be relevant for a specific email. Google will now start there new system that will put ads on top of your email from any recent email in your inbox. But this leaves the question, is it releasing my privacy?

The system would have to look at your emails to find a relevant ad. But isn’t this seeing a little to much? Google says it isn’t. The program will be automated. No human will be running the program and no information will be given to advertisers. The “we will not be giving information to advertisers” is a big deal. We wouldn’t want our private information out to advertisers. More spam would come!

To me this whole system is safe. I just thought I needed to talk about it for people that might be worried. You can trust Google, for now.
