TVDeck = AllTop. Not News But Videos.

tvdeckSimilar to Guy Kawasaki’s AllTop, the online magazine rack that offers visitors a clean overview of RSS-feed enabled sources categorized by topic, Romil Patel‘s TVDeck is a newly-launched website that offers a one-stop destination for the best programming online. It’s like a channel guide on satellite TV, but for online content.

Users are able to find the most relevant and quality videos without any much hassle, all thanks to its wide variety of categories and sub-categories, which makes searching for a particular video quick and easy.

TVDeck isn’t like any other search engines which simply allows users to search for video content on demand. Instead, the folks there have hand-picked forty popular video channels, including ‘Celebrities’, ‘Tech’, ‘Humor’, ‘Food’, and ‘Economy’. For each channel, they aggregate all the video feeds from leading celebrities/tech/food show publishers, and display each show with headlines from their latest episodes so users can browse for what seems interesting and go directly to that episode, instead of having to navigate around unfamiliar websites.

For example, if you wanted to find a cooking recipe for a date tonight, all you would need to do is go to food.tvdeck.com and skim through all the titles and find something that you could prepare, and amaze your date!

TVDeck does provides user-generated channels under the ‘MyTVDeck’ section. To activate that feature, users would have to sign up for an account.

Overall, I feel that searching videos based on user-generated channels with TVDeck will definitely be an enjoyable one!
